A new article has been added to GuardHQ: PDF Ebook wrappers and protection

I’m often asked about protection of ebooks after they’ve been downloaded. This article may help shed some light on an often debated topic of PDF wrapping and ebook compiling.

ClickBank gets a nip and tuck

Monday, July 24th, 2006

ClickBank is about to under go testing with a new logo and a new order form.

With their order form, they’re looking at changing it to a single page order form in the effort to increase sales conversions.

It’s a great step forward by Clickbank, and we’re looking forward to seeing the new changes.

You can check out the ClickBank web log for more info.

Clickbank have stated that this will not interupt any payment services. Naturally we’ll keep an eye on the system to make sure DLGuard is still fully compatible with any changes made by Clickbank.

HopGuard, the next release in the Guard series of products is at the half way point of initial development.

HopGuard is based on CB Affiliate Express, an easy to use Clickbank affiliate management program that builds encrypted Clickbank hoplinks on-the-fly for your affiliates. Not only does it increase link security, but will also make your life and your affiliates lives easier. CBAE will be upgraded to add more features and better integration with DLGuard, and will recieve a name change and face-lift to come in line with GuardHQ products.

HopGuard will continue the tradition of powerful software that is easy for *anyone* to use, whether you be newbie or veteran.

We’re aiming for a beta release to a small group of private beta testers in the next two weeks.

AlertPay support for DLGuard

Monday, July 10th, 2006

AlertPay support has now been added to DLGuard.

AlertPay is a “Paypal style” payment system with a nice and clean, easy to use interface. It’s been gaining a lot of popularity after the demise of StormPay website payments. It also seems to popular as a Paypal alternative.

While I haven’t personally used AlertPay as a payment processor, their system setup seems to be quite robust, and with the added security of DLGuard for payment security and download management, AlertPay looks to be a nice processor solution.

AlertPay integration was requested by DLGuard members, and was therefore delivered.

WorldPay support for DLGuard

Sunday, July 9th, 2006

DLGuard now supports WorldPay payments.

WorldPay is an established payment processor that is designed for robust credit card processing for vendors in many countries.

When I add payment processors to DLGuard, I contact the payment processor in question to request a demo account that I can use for testing. With WorldPay, being as large as it is, I wasn’t sure what response I’d get. To my absolute delight, WorldPay support bent over backwards to accommodate me, and help me out as much as possible.

WorldPay tech support was excellent!

WorldPay’s interface is quite powerful and can be a little intimidating when you’re first fumbling around trying to figure out how to accept a payment. DLGuard now adds extra download security and payment validation, as well as making setting up a WorldPay product quick and easy.

It’s with pleasure that I announce DLGuard’s integration with WorldPay.
