DLGuard v4.1.1: Ebay and E-Bullion

Tuesday, September 25th, 2007

With the release of DLGuard v4.1.1 today, DLGuard members have welcomed a number of excellent new features.

These features are naturally free of charge to all DLGuard v4 members.

We have added E-Bullion support as a new payment processor integration in DLGuard.

Another exciting feature is the new Ebay Delivery System:

The ebay delivery feature is a new feature designed to make selling products on Ebay easier for you. An issue sometimes arises where the download emails you send to your customers are removed by spam filters.

By setting your product to a Digital Downloadable product when you list it in Ebay, you can set a Download URL - DLGuard gives you a delivery URL to put here. This means after your customer pays for your Ebay product there is a link that will take them to an input box.

In this box your customer will enter their Paypal email address and the item number of the Ebay product they just bought. They will then be transferred to their secure and expiring download page as usual.

This means your customers will no longer need to wait for their download link via email. They will, however, still be sent their download email as per usual.

With this new feature, DLGuard continues to be the most powerful and logical choice for people who sell digital products via Ebay (and other major payment processors).

We’d like to thank our members for making these upgrades possible.

DLGuard version 4 has now been released!

The new version contains many new features that our members have been asking for, including:

Shopping Cart Updates:
Cart code has been heavily rewritten to dramatically speed up cart browsing for people with huge product lists

The shopping cart now displays 15 items per page (if you have more than 15 items, it will be split onto a second page). A drop-down box is displayed on your cart page so your customers can jump to a certain page

Cart categories are now listed in alphabetical order in the shopping cart’s side menu

Cart now works with Paypal’s Auto Return turned On

Cart purchase price is now available on the cart download page as %%productprice%% . This can be used for display purposes, or for scripts such as affiliate tracking

“Full Description” text now available in language file

Memberships Updates:
ClickBank recurring billing integration for DLGuard’s Memberships

LinkPoint payment processor added for DLGuard’s Memberships

PayPal recurring sales can now be limited to a certain number of billings. So, for example, you can bill your customer three times and then stop. This can also be used for demos - a customer signup’s up for a free trial at the end of which they’re automatically billed by Paypal.

Single purchase memberships can be limited to a certain access period. So for example you can link your membership group to a single item sale product, but then restrict the access to six months. This will allow you to sell different levels of memberships such as six months access for $10 or twelve months access for $15. This can also be used to give a trial period - someone buys a 3 month membership, then at the end of it they can choose to move to a recurring billing membership. At the end of the set period, access is blocked.

Paypal’s IPN can now be replicated and re posted to your own URL. This can be used for any script that needs access to Paypal’s IPN for recurring payments, such as affiliate scripts. The Repost URL will receive the exact Paypal IPN data that it normally would if it was set up as Paypal’s IPN URL.

Single Item Sales Updates:
LinkPoint payment processor added for DLGuard’s Single Item Sales

Clickbank sales can now be directed straight to the download page without having to ask your customer for their name and email address.

Paypal Shopping Cart now supported in Paypal items. This means you can set up your own shopping cart on your website using Paypal’s cart feature. The cart code is available from a Paypal’s Get Code link in DLGuard.

Products listed on Single Item Summary screen can now be split into multiple pages for those people with large product lists.

General:
Search terms in DLGuard remove any extra trailing spaces on term

Paypal’s “Return To Merchant” link now returns your customer to your main domain name

DLGuard’s home page now lists “number of sales” for your products instead of raw download counts

Ability to change “Free Download” text via the language templates

Trailing spaces removed from coupon for better matching

Error message when no coupon is entered, but the coupon box is submitted is now more descriptive

Fixes:
Clone error when product included single quote

Extra Text wasn’t show on Cart Download Page

Cart Email link wasn’t working for 2Checkout purchases

Test Settings page now doesn’t list the pre-MySQL update files

We’d like to thank our members - it is you who allow us to continue to release new features that keep DLGuard a long way ahead of our competition.
